So, John Green is a brilliant author (Looking for Alaska, The Fault in our Stars, and Will Grayson, Will Grayson among others). I have recently been introduced to his work and it is extremely profound. Every time I read something of his, a whole new realm of possibilites and perspectives is introduced to me. SO READ HIS BOOKS!!! But, that is not the point of this post. He and his brother do semi-weekly video blog posts and they are quite frequently hysterically funny, and also brilliant. In this week’s video, John discusses the difficulty of reading Moby Dick, but also how fun it is. He talks about how challenges are fun and I thought that that was very relevant to this project. Most of the books on my list are extremely difficult, but for me that is half the fun of reading them.
“The search is a pleasure, and a difficult one, as most great pleasures are”- John Green.
Anyway, if you want to check out their videos… HERE.
Have a lovely day and DFTBA (don’t forget to be awesome, for those who are not familiar with the John Green fandom :) )
