“I am the Messenger” by Markus Zusak and “Great Expectations”

I recently finished I am the Messenger by Markus Zusak and it was fantastic. I loved the message, part of which was about how amazing it is to help people. I also loved the writing. Zusak has a poetic style of prose and I loved, loved it. The paragraph structure was also really interesting. Sometimes there were really long paragraphs and other times he would have several short sentences in a row all be separate paragraphs. It was really effective for the style and the story. I am going to read his other books very soon because this one really affected me. So check out Zusak’s work, I highly recommend it.

I have also started Great Expectations by Charles Dickens as the next book from “The List” (see The Project”)… It is quite good so far!
